How to apply Halo Gel Polish Plus:

Prep the nails, remove any excess cuticles, then gently buff the nails to remove any surface shine using a Halo Elite Buffer.
Clean the nail plate with the Halo Prep & Scrub, to remove any remaining dust and oil.
Apply a thin layer of Halo Gel Polish Plus Base Coat, which seals the free edge of the nails.
Cure for 60 seconds using a Halo Lamp for the best results.
Before applying your Halo Gel Polish Plus colour, remove excess gel from the brush by scraping it on the neck of the bottle. This formula requires thin coats.
Apply a thin layer of your chosen Halo Gel Polish Plus shade, sealing the free edge, and cure for 60 seconds.
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for a second coat, ensuring the free edge is sealed, then cure for another 60 seconds.
Apply your chosen Halo Gel Polish Plus Top Coat, seal the free edge, and cure for 60 seconds.
If you are using a top coat that requires wiping, wait 5 seconds for the nails to cool, then remove the sticky layer with a Halo Elite Nail Wipe.
Allow the nails to cool for 2 minutes before applying Halo Citrus Crush Cuticle Oil.

How to Remove Halo Gel Polish Plus without Halo Heat Mitts:

Remove the surface shine of your gel nails with a nail buffer or nail file.
Soak a lint-free wipe with acetone remover and apply it around your nails.
Once applied to the nails, wrap each finger with foil to keep the heat in.
Allow the remover to soak off your gel polish for 10-20 minutes.
Remove the foil and nail wrap and use a manicure stick to remove the soaked-off gel.

Removal of Halo Gel Polish Plus With Halo Heat Mitts:

Heat the Halo Heat Mitts in the microwave for 120 seconds before filing and buffing the nails with a Halo Precision File.
Soak Halo Foil Wraps with acetone and wrap each nail tightly. If you don’t have the mitts, simply buff the nails and use foil wraps or a soak-off bowl.
Place hands into the Heat Mitt Liners and cover them with the Halo Heat Mitts.
Leave on for 7 minutes, then remove one hand at a time and check the progress with a Halo Gel Scraper. Repeat if needed.
Once all product is removed, gently file and buff the nails, then finish with cuticle oil or prepare for a new application.

Good for Chrome

I picked this up specifically for use with Chrome finishes. I can say that the product works for that specific purpose - I got a really shiny, evenly spread mermaid chrome finish. There was no need for aggressive buffering or topping up the pigment, so I was quite happy with this topcoat.

As far as workability, as a topcoat this product feels goopy but easy to use. I'm used to the extremely runny and thin GELISH TOP IT OFF topcoat but using this product didn't throw off my entire workflow.

For the record, for CHROME MERMAID finish I did the following:

1 layer halo plus non wipe topcoat + mermaid chrome layer + final layer halo plus top coat
