I’ve had acrylic nails for years and due to lock down I decided to take them off. My nails looked awful!! A friend of mine told me about these ridge fillers so decided to give it a go. Glad I did, made my polish go on flawlessly
Very happy with my purchase this is as good as or even better than very expensive base coats. I wouldn't wear it as a top coat but it does give a smooth finish as an under coat.
Good quality, ridge filler / base coat. Applies smoothly and dries quickly.
Works well and gives a smooth base. My nails are quite ridged, and this product works a treat. The polish looks fine to wear just on its own too if you are in a rush
I suffer from eczema on my hands and as such my nail bed is very damaged and no matter how much buffing, my nails are always ridged. This is my go-to base coat - applies perfectly and good quality. I wouldn't use anything else!
Dries very quickly and it acts as a good base, making the nail surface smooth.

Have been using this ridge filler basecoat for about two years now. It goes on smoothly and is fast drying and makes an excellent surface for applying nail polish. Going to keep on buying!
This basecoat is as good a ridge filler as it claims to be. It makes my nails look very smooth. It also stops my nails from being stained by the dark coloured polish I tend to wear. China glaze paints on shiny so you can see where you've painted and dries dull so it has more of a chance to keep my nail polish on for longer.
This base coat does a great job of evening out the surface of my toenails so that nail polish is easier to apply. It has quite a strong smell but dries quickly. The result after colour is applied looks really professional, and I wouldn't buy any other make of base coat from now on.

Bought this after a friend recommended it. Have tried many other makes but really liked this one. Nail polish goes on perfectly over the top of it. Really pleased with this product.Fast delivery.
I think I expected more for the price, but it's still good! I have some major ridges on a couple of nails, and using it as a base coat (only tried it as a base with other China Glaze polishes) I felt my nails looked visibly better. I'd got to the point where I wouldn't wear nail varnish because of how bad it looked, and now this means I can. Not sure how good it would look with other colours, but I used "Astro Hot" and it looked much better!Good results, but not as good as I thought it'd be for the price.
I'm surprised at the luke-warm reviews this has received as I came to this website specifically looking for it. Although I have to concede it does leave the nail an unattractive beige colour, I don't see this as a problem as it's a basecoat, so by definition will be hidden by some other colour on top. For doing its job of smoothing out ridges I don't think it can be faulted. I have major health problems that cause my nails to be very ridged all the time but with this on underneath my main colour, my nails look mirror smooth. Even foil polishes look amazing. After being disappointed by 'el cheapo' ridge fillers from the bargain shops, I found this on sale and I now love it.
for the money i felt it should make more of a difference but found no real change. also leaves a horrible pale yellow colour. expensive for what it is
It works with regards to filling ridges but it is difficult to totally remove. I used this product as a base coat under the china glaze nail polish. The overall appearance was rubbish.
I wouldn't use it on its own because of the colour, but it's a very good product and it really leaves a beautifully smooth base for your coloured polish. Much better than many more expensive products I've tried too.
I have tried Ridge Filler from many different Brands, but this one is the absolute BEST. I have already recommended it to my friends who will go one to order their own. I will certainly buy again + will look at other products too. Thank you China Glaze
