the most important part in the two step super gel-like nailpolish

another brilliant topcoat, whether you're using it with the step 1 rimmel nailpolish colour or not. I know I've said this before, but it's worth repeating, I've found that any gel-like topcoat that comes in a black bottle, really means business and works best. And if you've had it a while and getting closer to the end of the bottle a dash of thinner will easily refresh it as it can get a bit sticky later on. These gel-like nail polish/topcoats on the market are great, salon perfect nails without having to faff around with a light, goes on quick and easy and does dry pretty quick, but you can speed that up with a spray of rapid dry (my favourite is boots elegant touch, but OPI drip dry also works well and there's a number of other brands available too - a real must have)
